The artificial bite continues to stay steady. Some days are a little better then

others but for the most part every trips is a good trip. This week we have not

seen the big fish show up but they are their. We have had a couple on but

could not close the deal.I had a great group of guys from Ohio in today

Ryan/Rick/Mike/John and we had a great time and the weather even treated

us well with a nice breeze most of the morning. My good friend Hank G helped

me out on this trip and the total for two boats was between 25 and 30 fish.

My team made a mistake this morning trying shiners and that cost us because

we only caught 2 fish on shiners the first three hours of this six hour trip.

When we set the shiners rods a side the fish catching began and my guys

caught 9 fish and lost another 8 or 9 fish casting a worm.

Main river flats were the key to success for this group of fisherman.

My other trip the first of the week was not great as we never did get a breeze

and it was HOT.We had a 9 year old on this trip and were trying to get him

on a few fish.He caught 4 fish on a rattle trap and the total was only 6 for this

4 hr trip. The big fish are here but we just haven't had the luck getting them in

the boat the past week like we did the first couple weeks this month.
