Well I did something today that I don't get to do very often.I went fishing by

myself. It's nice sometimes to get out on the water by yourself and think about

all the things that are going on in life.

I had promised one of my Dads nurses a couple Trout for taking such good

care of my Dad here at my house so my plan was to head to a shallow flat

and have a little fun with a topwater bait catching Trout. My plan worked out great

except I had a hard time catching two Trout that were legal to keep.

First Trout was 21 inches and the next 20 Trout were either over 20 inches or

under 15 inches. The limit is one per person over 20 and 4 between 15 and 20

well after two hrs I finally caught a 19 inch Trout for my second keeper.

I had seen a couple Redfish cursing the flat I was fishing so I switched

over to a Berkley Gulp Shrimp and started sight fishing for Redfish

it didn't take long to see a nice Redfish tailing in about 18 inches of water

I placed a cast about 10 ft ahead of this tailing fish and as I started to reel

the shrimp to the fish a second fish I didn't see came out of no where

and ate the bait. This was a much bigger fish and after about a 2 minute

fight I had knot failure and broke the fish off.Not Good.I knew this morning

when I tied my Power Pro to my Team Fish Mono leader something didn't

feel right but sense I was not guiding I just left it alone and when fishing.

After tying on a new leader it only took a couple minutes to find another

Redfish tailing. I placed my cast again about 10 ft a head of this fish and

reeled the shrimp to with in 1 ft of the fish.It was fun to watch this fish hunt

the shrimp down and circle it twice before eating .No knot failure on this

beautiful 31 inch Redfish.I ended the morning finding a school of about 20 Redfish

working a shallow shoreline and caught 4 more Redfish and was off the water

before 11 am.My best Trout Bait today was a Rebel Pop R

and all 5 Redfish were caught on a Berkley Gulp Shrimp.

I would also like to say that my New GuideLine Elite Glasses Model #50010202

with the Freestone Brown Lens worked better then any glasses I have ever

sight fished with before. As most of you know I don't push a lot of products

on my websites but when I do find something I feel will help my clients catch

more fish I will certainly let you know about it.Go to www.GLpolarized.com

You have my word. You need a pair of these glasses to see what you have been

missing on the flats.

Sorry for not having pictures with today's report. It's a little hard when you are

by yourself.
