Happy St. Patrick’s week! Mid March has provided beautiful warm weather for South Florida. It’s nice to finally feel the heat from the sun as well as drag screaming runs from fish.

Anglers looking to tango with snook, docks, seawalls, and mangrove shorelines are the areas to target them. Live baits or Rapala skitter walks provoke strikes from the line siders. As bait starts to show up, schools of snook gather in the vicinity ambushing these bait pods.

Channels and holes are holding great numbers of Spanish mackerel, bluefish, jacks, ladyfish, and black drum. With all the schooling fish in channels and holes, it makes for nonstop action for anglers. Live bait, fly or artificial lures gets the fish chewing, creating drag screaming runs and smiling anglers.

With spring break happening in our zone, kids and families are looking to venture out, enjoying a day on the water catching fish. The areas we fish hold a plethora of species, anglers are catching a wide variety of species daily. Snapper, drum, jacks, barracuda, sharks, bluefish and many others keep the rods bent.

Well, that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight lines! PhlatsInshoreFishing.com visit us on Facebook, Instagram, twitter, Pinterest and YouTube.
