Pelagic BLITZ is on fire! Friday we ran out past the Skyway bridge into the gulf around Egmont Key area. The seas were very flat which made it easy to find the Mackerel chasing bait. Hungry schools of Mackerel, Bonita, Jacks and sharks are abundant, locate the birds /school drift in and get ready for fast action. Clark silver spoons were attacked over and over again. Bonita 7-10 pounds, Mackerel a mix of small 15" with schools of solid fish 25". Be prepared for lots of cutoffs as the Mackerel often 3 or 4 are fighting for you spoons. We found the False Albacore fishing amazing, these speedsters are incredibly strong. Aaron from Rhode Island said it was the best fight he ever had! If you anchor up be sure to deploy a chum bag to keep the fish in your area. Pro Fish Chum is easy to use check them out at www.profishchum.com No mixing, no smell, no mess and it works great.
