INSHORE FISHING REPORT
The Spotted Trout has been the best action this week we are limiting out on BIG trout from Aripeka to Bayport in 1-3 feet of water.We are finding the biggest trout over hard bottom like rocks,oysters bars,and natural flat bottom on a recent charter on Friday we fished Aripeka and the trout are thick in there we were using lures in the morning topwaters Rapala skitter walks and chuge bugs by storm produce trout up to 25".With the negative LOW tides in the morning made it perfect conditions for tailing REDS and they were BIG ones we sight cast to the reds with Berkly
gulp new penny jerk baits and crabs worked well as the tide came in the fish pushed up by the shore we swich to live white bait i used my chum slinger to get the reds active then we were on them for about 1 hour after that school slowed down off to another school of reds.Ther are large schools all around you just need to take your time with your trolling motor look for jumping mullet and nervous water stay at least casting distance away and use live or dead bait is working great.We are starting to catch nice size Black Drum now as well. The water temp is around
