The weather layed down a bit today and last night making for favorable fishing conditions. Clients of Sun Coast Kayak Sport Fishing are continuing to see great catch and release action for Snook. These linesiders are stacked up in a number of areas in southern Tampa Bay and Sarasota Bay making for some fast action and the best chances at true trophy sized fish. Sight fishing for Snook and then chumming with live bait works these fish into a frenzy and they just go bonkers. Throw in a hooked bait and it is only a matter of seconds before it is crushed by a hungry Snook.
Redfish are also in these areas often mixed right alongside the Snook. These fish have been running really nice lately with the majority between 24" and 27".
The Snapper bite also continues to be steady as does the Sea Trout - both during the day and evening trips. Also a few small Tarpon have been found and targeted in some backwater areas.
