Fall weather is finaly here and with the cooler temps the snook bite is really heating up.

Today it was all about one man and putting him on snook.

This client wanted to make the bait run with me so I had him meet me at the dock early.

I figured why not and I was sure I could put him on at least one snook before we even baited up.

I know a dock that holds snook under the lights near where I was to get bait.

The trick is to be fast and silent with your approach.

Not because you will spook the snook! But because the dock owner will shut the lights out if she knows your coming.

I trolled in and had my client pitch a mirrodine sub surface. He made a perfect cast under the dock and was hooked up.

Not a big fish(only around 24")but a snook.

We gave it another shot but no takers so we did our bait catching thing and off we went.

The first area we went to was a mangrove lined shore that produce some micro sized snook.I think the largest we caught at that spot was about 15".

I made a move and the next spot was much better with snook just under the slot coming to the boat.

In the mix we hooked up on some Jacks, ladys and cats.

The bite slowed and my client was happy so we took a leisurly ride back to the ramp around noon.

I think in all todays tally was around 18 to 22 snooka couple of cats, several lady fish and a couple of Jacks that made for some good light tackle action.
