Had the Kalin family from MI out for a cold day of bass fishing on Thursday. We decided to skip the plan to start early with the low temp of 28 degrees and we set a meeting time for 11 am.Left the dock at 11am with winds 15 mph from the North and

a high air temp of 41.VERY COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To my surprise the fish were very active. For the first 90 minutes it was a bite on just about every shiner that hit the water the kids were having a blast watching these big

bass bust the shiners on top of the water..Toward the end of the 4 hr trip things slowed down and we decided to head back to the dock.Lots of bites and a few nice fish in the 5 to 6 pound range were caught by this great family that braved one of the coldest days I can ever remember fishing with kids
