Hooking into 10 or more fish per outing seems to be common place over the past month and clients are happy! The winter was a bit milder on the west coast in BC and so the river temps are slightly warmer making for more active fish. Over the past week its been sunny and highs of near 70 F. This cant last forever but its set up a great start to what should be one of the better fishing seasons in a few years. Don't forget that the BIG Sturgeon show up in June-July and after that it's really good until later November.
Bonus for 2013: This years Pink salmon return is expected to be anywhere from 20-30 million fish! This means fishing like you've never seen it, fly or spin light tackle for fish that love to bite. Hook a hundred fish in 1 day. Peak times are late August to Oct 1. We fish the Fraser river near Mission, BC where the fish are not far from the ocean and still heading upriver so they are in prime shape. We never fish on top of spawners.
