The pass is hot and wild with the Tarpon Frenzy this time of the year. I have been hooking 7 to 10 Tarpon a day and getting at least half of them to the boat and some of them get eaten by the bull sharks and the hammerhead sharks. So if you want to get your blood pressure up, and get one of these Giant Tarpon hooked, on you will need to get in to the Boca Grande Pass. When you do there is one thing to remember and that is when you get bit, hang on for the ride and the arm pullingest fun of a life time. Been hooking them on the beaches also. With live baits, pass crabs and thread fins. It all depends on the time of the day and the major thing to know is what the tides are and what they are doing. If you are jigging for these giants there is a few things to know too, and that is what tackle you will need. For the best results you should hire a captain to take you out, for your first trip, it is not as easy as you might think to get on these Giant Tarpon. Respond to this report and you will get a $100.00 off of a 6 Hour Tarpon Charter.

Bio: Born and raised in Saint Petersburg Florida, he's fished these waters all of his life. That's over forty years on the gulf, in it's tributaries and it's estuaries. From the back country estuaries of Tarpon Springs and Anclote Island, south past Clearwater Beach, and Tampa Bay; clear down to Charlotte Harbor, Boca Grande pass, he focuses on catching fish that unforgettable, lifetime, memories are made of. Pick the season right and catch giant tarpon, inshore slams of large snook, big bull redfish and seatrout after seatrout. When the water's right, he pursues large gulf grouper by hunting the nearshore rockpiles and reefs of the lower naturecoast. This specialty is only practiced successfully by native Florida Fishing Guides who truly understand the ebb and pulse of the gulf. Capt. Tom will be celebrating a decade on the water as a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain in 2007.
