The fish are eating it up on the St Johns River. The spawn is kicking in

and the big females are heading to the shallow water. My youngest son John

whom I hope will one day be a part of Bass Challenger Guide Service

met me at the boat dock this morning as he was just getting home from working

all night at his job.Looking a little tired he jumped in the boat for a few hrs of fishing

as it has been a few months sense we fished together. To say it was a great

morning would be and understatement as the fish were eating it up!!

This 10.8 pound fish crushed Johns spinnerbait on his third cast to a windy

point just off the main river. We then headed to a shallow flat and proceeded

to catch most of our fish on a texas rigged worm in less then two ft of water.

Total fish count was around 25 with 4 fish weighing over 6 pounds and Johns

10.5 being the biggest of the day.I still have a lot of days open this month

but Feb in getting booked up.The fishing will only get better as the full moon

passes in a few days.
