The cold weather set in a long with the 20 mph winds.I even seen 49 degrees

on the water temp first thing this morning in the main river. The bite was slow

but the size of the fish made up for the slow fishing.Dave and Denny are in from

W Virginia for three full days and Dave started the morning off with a beautiful

8 .8 lb fish on the first shiner that hit the water. It's nice to beat your personal

best by 1.8 lbs on your first day of a three day trip.Total fish count was only six

but we had some other really big fish on today that didn't make it to the boat.

The rust from not shiner fishing in 20 years in gone and I expect to see some

really big fish from these two great guys over the next two days.
