The East wind has the current flowing north again and the schooling fish

were blasting topwater baits the way they are supposed to this morning.

I fished with Bo Laws and his son Mike of BLP Products INC.

Not only can these guy's build a Race Car Engine they can flat out fish.

We started the day out fishing for schooling fish and Mike and Bo caught

10 or 12 nice fish on topwater baits by 8:30 am we then headed to a shiner spot

and the fish were biting shiners at a steady pace with a good number of fish

between 3 and 8 1/4 lbs being caught.Total for the day was around 25 fish.

The big fish are still in the deeper grass matts on the main river.

I have the rest of the month of May open I can't believe it as May is usually a

very busy month and the fishing is great as you can see from the pictures on

my resent reports. We catch trophy bass year round on the St Johns River.

This area of the St Johns River is only minutes from Orlando,Disney World and Daytona Beach
