Headed out at 7AM with My son Matt, Best Buddy Capt Mike and Jim "Poopsy" Monahan. Small craft was up for Raritan Bay but it was flat as a pancake (thank you NOAA for keeping many people away ).

Hit the back of the Reach, just about ready to start pulling the wire and birds started working. Motored over to were the birds were, they were not feeding but hovering over a large area, got good readings. The boys started to jig, back Capt Mike hooked a 28", Matt a 27" and Poosy a 27"........then it died.

Kept circling the area until I found good readings again and we threw the lines over Bang Capt Bob a 30", Capt Mike a 27" Matt a 29" and Poopsy a 24".....again it died, the Bass were chasing Rain Fish all over and you had to keep on them, Krocodiles, Ava 27, and Kastmater were the ticket. Played with these fish for another hour or so with the same results (Poopsy did not get a keeper).

Ran over to West Bank and threw out the wire, nothing. Shot out to between the channels, OCean was a tad snotty 5-6' Chop, breakers coming over the false hook (and Hugh breakers were over at Ambrose Channel. We did nothing in between.

Started to head in and bumped into Capt Filipe we stopped and chewed the fat wish each other a good turkey day.

Hit the dock, gased and cleaned up, filleted the Bass, had a barley pop and everybody left to wolf down some turkey.

It was a great day on the water, calm (in the bay) sunny and warm, plus good fishing and great company. A 10 out of 10

Total 8 keepers (4 kept) 19 throw backs
