Yesterday's trip turned out to be a great day on the water despite having to dodge a thunderstorm or two and getting a little wet. I had the pleasure of fishing with Brian and Brad Sabel. Both work at Mercury Marine and are really great guys. We started out casting spinnerbaits for pike waiting to see what the weather was going to do. We caught several descent fish, but nothing of any real size. Lots of fun, none the less. Once the weather cleared, we headed out to troll for some walleye. We still got pounded with a couple of good downpours, but it was worth it. They both ended up catching their limit. Brian caught the largest walleye at 29 ¼ inches. But he is looking for a 30 incher to mount, so we released it. All in all, we have a pretty good bite going on now on Little Bay de Noc. See you on the water…
