This week produced some of the most awesome fishing of the year . With the water temperatures flirting to that magic 70 degree mark all week. My clients caught 4 fish this week over 10lbs. On Tuesday I had client Kevin Lavers owner of Merland Park fishing resort in Picton Ontario Canada caught 21 fish on shiners with 4 of them over 6 lbs. the largest coming in just under 7lbs. We fished 2 lakes Lake Toho and a little Lake in Orlando. Buy the way if you want to catch a trophy Walleye his place is the place to go it is on the famous Bay of Quinte on Lake Ontario. The next 2 days I took my French connection who were her for the PGA convention. Jules Lopez and his friend Phillip from Paris, France met me Wednesday morning in the Winter Haven Area. The first fish of the day Phillip caught a 7lb.8 oz. Fish witch ended up being the largest fish of the day. We caught 12 fish the smallest 3 lbs. but Jules lost a big fish that looked to be 10lbs. The next I had head to Orlando to pick my clients up so we fished the Butler Chain I had Emanuel and Jeanne Raquet also from Paris we caught close to 20 fish with Emanuel catching a 8.2 lb. fish. Friday morning brought hard rains, and wind. I told Kyle Hoffman and wife Chris to call me in the early that morning to see what the weather was going to do. After several phone calls back and forth we were finally able to meet about 11 a.m. go out. I wanted to go back and try to catch that big fish that Jules had missed on Wednesday. It was certainly worth it on both shiners and artificial we ended up catching 31 fish in 6 hrs. 11 fish were over 5lbs. The largest Chris caught on a shiner that weighed 10lbs.2 oz. I think it was the same fish Jules missed on Wednesday. Chris also caught a fish that weighed 9lb. 12 oz. close enough to 10 to count it. Saturday brought about 40 degree morning temperatures and two of our countries finest Major Tom Dennis and his wife Capt. Dawn Works-Dennis of the Army National guard. Back to the Butler Chain for a pick up and an awesome ½ day of fishing we caught 20 fish with Capt. Dawn catching a fish that even had me a Guide o f 20 years in Central Florida excited. She caught the largest fish a woman client had caught with me 13lb. 5oz. But this fish was the longest I had ever landed in my boat 33 inches long yes I said 33 inched long. We measured it twice. You can see the picture of this fish on my website. What a great week ! I still have some openings in February and March so give me a call!

Great Fishing!
