Fishing has been good despite heat and low current volumes. In the past 2 weeks bass fishing has been good shallow, with better sized fish coming from main lake ledges. I have found fish schooling on the main lake but with not much current this has not been dependable. We have had some excellent topwater action early and I expect for this to just keep getting better as the lake levels are dropping.

White Bass fishing has been very good. I have seen a few jumps but not for any extended periods. Try Roostertails or Mepps in line spinners, in white, chrome and chartreuse colors. Trolling with a crankbait downrigger has also produced good results.

With the lake levels dropping pay attention to channels and navigation bouys.

Lake level July 26---358.2 Surface water temps. 81 degrees.

Give me a call if I can answer any questions or if you would like to book a trip.
