Baja Mexico Fly Fishing Report: Cabo Crazy. (12/06/2012)
[Los Barriles,MM] Well, we are full swing into our winter season and we have been focusing on Magdalena Bay, San Jose and the Cabo area. The fishing has been pretty good so far with great water temperatures.

A Little Bit Of Everything (4/22/2012)
[East Cape,BJ] Up to date fly fishng report for Southern Baja. We raised a lot of marlin today and caught some very big dorado.
Lot's Of Spawning Happening (4/08/2012)
[East Cape,BJ] The fly fishing here in the East Cape is getting a little better. We're seeing lot's of fish inshore. Most of these fish are jacks with the occasional rooster school being spotted. The problem is that most of the fish are starting to spawn and are not very aggressive toward the fly.
North Wind's Blowing Strong (11/13/2011)
[East Cape,BJ] We found quite a few small to medium rooster fish as well as some very good fly fishing for sierra the first day we were able to get out.

[Magdalena Bay,BJ] We caught so many dorado!! I can't tell you how many. They were everywhere! Marlin and dorado everywhere!!

[East Cape,BJ] Up to date fly fishing report posted on August 5th 2011. Currently the fly fishige here in the East cape is excellent. Tuna have taken center stage but we have plenty of other action as well.
Marlin Mania!! (6/05/2011)
[East Cape,BJ] Well it's officially HOT here in Baja. I'm talking about the weather as well as the fly fishing. We have seen the arrival of the blue water species that include Marlin, Tuna and even a few more Dorado. The offshore action has been wide open and wide spread from North to South.

[East Cape,BJ] Current fly fishing report for the week February 7th -14th 2011. Although fly fishing is not "wide open" we continue to see good action here in the East Cape for species that include Sierra, jacks, and snapper.

September Closes With Great Fly Fishing (10/04/2010)
[East Cape,BJ] On the fishing front things have slowed down a little bit. The storm caused the water to get quite churned up and with that we experienced some slower fishing. We continue to see the fishing improve although it is still not as good as it was. I believe over the next few days we will be back to the wonderful fishing we were experiencing before the storm.
Dorado and Tuna Inhale Flies (10/04/2010)
[East Cape,BJ] The fishing has picked up from what it was last week. This week we saw very good action for Dorado and Tuna. The Dorado and Tuna seemed to inhale every fly presented to them.
Hot Weather = Hot Fly Fishing Action (8/22/2010)
[East Cape,BJ] Our fly fishing remains consistent with my anglers finding consistent action. Dorado and tuna provided the most action. This past week the fish moved in quite close to shore and we once again found the fish just four hundred yards off shore in the area of La Capilla. Most of the tuna were in the 10-20lb. range with a few bigger ones. The dorado once again this week were great for the fly fishing angler who was fishing Baja.

Another great week of great fly fishing here in Baja. The fish are very spread both north and south. What that means is we have a lot of fish in the area. On most mornings we have been fly fishing for tina, bonita, and dorado just minutes from the hotel.

[East Cape,BJ] Well, April is off to a great start. Both the offshore fly fishing and inshore fly fishing are going pretty well. Offshore we have a good number of Sail fish as well as Marlin. These fish showed up about a week ago and have been here ever since.

[East Cape,BJ] Speaking of fly fishing, we have some pretty good fishing in the area. We did not have much wind last week and that allowed us to be on the water. I was able to get out the other morning and do some fishing for myself and I found nice pockets of action.
Late January Fly Fishing In Baja Great (1/21/2010)
[East Cape,BJ] This past week we experienced a break from the wind. Last Friday the wind dropped and we woke up on Saturday to flat calm seas and beautiful weather. The wind has remained calm for the entire week giving the fly fishing angler as well as the conventional angler great fishing conditions.

[Cabo San Lucas,BJ] It is mid January and we have had some very nice weather so far in 2010. On the East Cape side of the peninsula we continue to see some strong winds from the North. However, our days were filled with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. The winds did not come up as early this past week. Anglers in the area who were willing to get up early and try their luck were rewarded with good fishing before the winds blew them off the water.

[East Cape,BJ] The fishing continues to be good throughout the bay. The bite for Tuna, Dorado, and Bonita remains very strong. This past week we have not had to travel as far to the south to find the fish as in previous weeks. The fish have slid all the way up the line and today were located right in front of La Ribera.

[East Cape,BJ] The fishing has started to pick up from what we saw last week. We are seeing very warm water temperatures that are on average about five to eight degrees warmer than normal for this time of year. This warmer water is providing good bait populations both inshore and off shore.

[East Cape,BJ] We saw a little better bite this week for the off shore species. Tuna were the main catch along with sailfish. We have a lot of sailfish in the area about twenty miles out on a sixty degree heading. Most of the boat were catching at least two or three fish with some of them landing double digit numbers of sailfish.

[East Cape,BJ] I spent three days this past week fishing with Kevin Kynerd and his wife Meredith. Kevin celebrated his birthday fly fishing with me. Kevin wanted to catch Rooster fish and we sure did. Kevin and Meredith caught a good number of them and are already coming back next year to chase some more.

[East Cape,BJ] Offshore is as good as it gets. We have more Dorado in the area than I have seen in a long time. The other day captain Hector out of Rancho Leonero told me he found a log floating in the water and that the sea under and around the log was golden with Doroado.
