OK, so what do i write when the fishing continues to be the best I have seen in years. Last week i was writing about the unbelievable Sailfishing, this week i am going to tell you it is still unbelievable and toss in the Black fin Tuna fishing and I am left speechless, and that does not happen often. It used to be you go to Mexico to get action half as good as it has been off Miami. As a Kid I fished Cancun and caught 5 one day and thought that was the best thing ever. In Miami the last couple of months if you don't get at least 4 or 5 in a day it was slow. And you have to remember that we are not just Sailfishing. Days we have spent in tournaments just Sailfishing we have been well above that.

The last couple of days we have been catching some tuna up to 30 pounds and some nice kings in the 15 pound range to go with the Sailfish. The Tuna have been mixed in with the Sails but I think the best Tuna action is in the 160 to 180 ft, range. The Kingfish have been best off the wrecks north of Fowey in tight, 60 to 120 ft seems to be best. Jimbo Thomas said he has been getting his limit while anchored.

Dolphin are the surprise this year. I would expect to be seeing alot more than we have so far. I really have not even seen the small fish that are generally pushing north this time of year. Now, we have had some good days but not like it should be. They might be up in the Gulf of Mexico with all the heavy east winds pushing them around the keys and into the Gulf. I have seen that a few years ago.

Bottom fish such as mutton snapper are always a welcome sight and we are seeing a few more of them recently.

If you had not heard Cap Running the Cutting Edge caught a est. 500 lb Mako the other day while running in. The fish ate a piece of Amberjack and was seen in 80 ft. Watch out DIVERS.
