This report is for last Thursday and I'm just now getting around to posting it because I have been working the Nashville Fishing & Turkey Expo. It was nice to see some old faces from the BFHP and meet some new ones. It was a wonderful show and the turnout was one of the largest I can ever remember. Thursday we launched out of Waterfront and fished from there up to Goosepond. Water temps were 49-51 degrees and the water was clear in the pockets and had slight color on the river. We targeted breaklines using the Xcalibur Xr50 Rattle bait in Royal Red, and the Xs4 Stick bait in Gold Bream. We managed to catch 4 solid keepers before I broke out the Cotton Cordell C.C. Spoon and started catching some striped bass that keep flashing across the graph. While jigging the spoon we got into a large school of crappie and proceed to put 25 crappies in the boat in the next hour. When you find crappie like that bass fishing gets put on hold.

BTW- My new website is up and you can now find it at two different addresses. As always http://www.mildrillafishing.com/ and a new easier to spell http://www.grassfishing.com/

Area Reporting: Guntersville Lake

Bio: I have been fishing Lake Guntersville my entire life and I specialize in fishing grass on Lake Gunterville. Living here in North Alabama all my life, I have over 19 years experience bass fishing on beautiful Lake Guntersville and other area lakes. I began tournament fishing at the age of 16 in local bass clubs. Not long after I then moved on to the nationally known trails such as Angler's Choice, BFL, B.A.I.T. and other large local tournaments. If you want the opportunity to catch bass, learn seasonal tactics, and have a wonderful time on the water, then your search stops here. Bass fishing is not just my job, it's my passion!
