Bio: I have been fishing Lake Guntersville my entire life and I specialize in fishing grass on Lake Gunterville. Living here in North Alabama all my life, I have over 19 years experience bass fishing on beautiful Lake Guntersville and other area lakes. I began tournament fishing at the age of 16 in local bass clubs. Not long after I then moved on to the nationally known trails such as Angler's Choice, BFL, B.A.I.T. and other large local tournaments. If you want the opportunity to catch bass, learn seasonal tactics, and have a wonderful time on the water, then your search stops here. Bass fishing is not just my job, it's my passion!
[Guntersville Lake,AL] As the heat gets cranked up, that's when the bass fishing gets hotter.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Cool Front slowed the numbers down but not the quality of fish.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] The fishing the last two days has been pretty good on lake Gutersville.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Guntersville is still going strong and fish are beginning to hit topwater.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Bass are all over the chart right now, and can be caught a lots of different baits.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] The spawn is in full swing at Guntersville right now and one can catch them on just about anything.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Yum Dingers, Yum Lizards, Zara Spooks and an Xcalibur Xr75s are still catching those Guntersville bass.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Yum dingers and lizards are top choice right now on lake Guntersville.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Yum plastics and Xcalibur Xr50 are hot baits on Guntersville Lake
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Bass are moving shallow and biting lots different lures.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Fish are shallow and deep, so you can catch them on lots of different lures.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Strong Northwest winds keep us from fishing several productive areas but we still managed to find a few places out of the wind.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Since the fish haven't bit well the last three days, I had strong feeling they would feed up with overcast skies.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Over the last couple of days the bite has slowed down. With the water level slowly starting to rise, surface temps are ranging from 59-65 degrees and color is a slight stain to clear.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Warm days have got the bass shallow and their feeding.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Shallow water has been the key on Guntersville the past few weeks.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] The lipless crankbait bite is heating up on Guntersville Lake
[Guntersville Lake,AL] I don't think those Guntersville bass know that the weather has been down right nasty.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Sleet and frozen rods make for ok day on Lake Guntersville.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] We targeted grass flats and breaklines and the fish were positioned in 5-8ft of water.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Cold weather not a factor on beautiful Lake Gunterville. Today cloudy skies, light wind, and clear water made some wonderful conditions to fish Lake Guntersville. A friend of mine and I launched out of Waterfront at 9:00am and we went searching for lipless crankbait fish. On the second cast we found one and I just knew that was going to be bad luck, but it wasn't.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Bass fishing was slow, but the Crappie sure made up for it. This report is for last Thursday and I'm just now getting around to posting it because I have been working the Nashville Fishing & Turkey Expo. It was nice to see some old faces from the BFHP and meet some new ones. It was a wonderful show and the turnout was one of the largest I can ever remember.
[Guntersville Lake,AL] Grass on Guntersville has not fallen yet but will soon.
