Today cloudy skies, light wind, and clear water made some wonderful conditions to fish Lake Guntersville. A friend of mine and I launched out of Waterfront at 9:00am and we went searching for lipless crankbait fish. On the second cast we found one and I just knew that was going to be bad luck, but it wasn't. We fished all the way up to North Sauty and caught 17 fish and lost/missed about 6 others on the Xcalibur Xr50 rattle bait in Royal Shad and Royal Red. Best 5 fish around 22lbs. and I'm trying to forget about the one that pulled off. Water temp was 44-49 degrees and at winter level.

Bio: I have been fishing Lake Guntersville my entire life and I specialize in fishing grass on Lake Gunterville. Living here in North Alabama all my life, I have over 19 years experience bass fishing on beautiful Lake Guntersville and other area lakes. I began tournament fishing at the age of 16 in local bass clubs. Not long after I then moved on to the nationally known trails such as Angler's Choice, BFL, B.A.I.T. and other large local tournaments. If you want the opportunity to catch bass, learn seasonal tactics, and have a wonderful time on the water, then your search stops here. Bass fishing is not just my job, it's my passion!
