Cape Cod Bay Revisited...

Capt. Hap Farrell

Remember that saying, "All roads lead to Rome...". Well. you can also say all roads lead to Cape Cod Bay. This last Sunday, the 31st of May, a Miss Anne MacDonald went fishing out of Rock Harbor on the Stunmai II. A while ago, back in the mid 80's, she had been a fill in mate for the charter boats from this harbor. Last year she was down checking on her families cottage in Eastham and went fishing for some of those hard fighting bluefish. She did well by land a number of them on some very light tackle, 6 lb. test line on a very light action rod.

This season she was back to test herself on some of the early arrived stripers. Again she had no difficulty land some nice stripers on some light action gear using 10 lb. test line.

This is not the end of this story. Anne will be back to try her hand on these fish again. This time she will try using the ultimate in light gear. Tournament grade 2 lb. test tackle on some of the bluefish we find in Cape Cod Bay. See, all roads do lead to one of best fishing areas on the Cape.
