Fort Lauderdale Fishing with Top Shot Sportfishing Charter Boat and Capt. Zsak

Once is never enough - Mike Leonard, along with his friends, Matt, Dustin, Blake, Wayne and Dillon from Michigan were down in Fort Lauderdale on vacation and decided to charter the Top Shot Sportfishing Charter Boat team on two separate fishing charters to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316.

On our first fishing charter, the boys wanted to target big fish so on our way we stopped to purchase some Goggle Eyes from T&T Bait to use later in the fishing charter.

We trolled around to read the waters and caught a 20 lb. Wahoo and six Bonitos. From there we decided to do some live bait fishing in 350 ft. of water. We put out two kites with two live Goggle Eyes from each kite, along with one bottom Shark bait. Dustin was our angler and caught 7 ½ ft. Sailfish – pictures were taken and the Sailfish was released. We reset again – Mike was our angler this time and he caught a 6 ft. Bull Shark.

On their next fishing charter two days later, the request was to catch Mahi Mahi's. I headed east of the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale to the depth of 550 ft. of water where I found a scattered weed line. I worked the weed line and the anglers caught one Tuna and 27 Mahi Mahi's, which 15 of the Mahi Mahi's were released.

With mission accomplished, it was time to head back to the dock. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Mar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316, while watching the plasma TV. At the dock, Dave filet the Mahi Mahi's and Tuna for their dinner.
