Over the past week we have been fishing just about everyday. Fishing on the edge has been awesome. We have caught sailfish just about everyday, and plenty of dolphin and kingfish also. Over the weekend we fished the Sailfish Kickoff Tournament out of Miami. On day one we fished was down south and caught 2 out of 3 sailfish. We also caught 14 dolphin between 6-17 lbs. On day two we fished a bit more to the south, we never saw a sailfish, but we had a great time catching numerous dolphin and kingfish. We had a great time fishing this tournment eventhough we did not finish in the money. Congrats to all of the winners!

Swordfishing has been a bit slow for the guys who have been able to get out there. The bite should turn on as we get a bit closer to the moon. The wind is supposed to lay down a bit next week soo hopefully we can get out there for a trip or two. I wanted to talk abit about tarpon season. Our tarpon season is about ready to start up here in the next couple of weeks. Last yr just about all of the guides who tarpon fished in the winter had lots of success. Not only do you catch tarpon, but you also may catch Permit, Snapper, Snook and even grouper. We were lucky last yr and caught a few snapper while tarpon fishing.

I still have a few days left this month, and a few next month. Give me a shout and lets get out there and do some fishing. Remember tarpon fishing is a great option when you can get out swordfishing!

Tightlines,

Capt Joe M
