Independence Day was cool and the seas were a little rough, but good fishing was to be had both on the kite and on the troll. The Lady Pamela II caught a bunch of blackfin tunas, including a 30 lb monster. Surprisingly, a few sailfish even showed up to take baits off the kites. Seas became a little uncomfortable so the LP II moved on to trolling a combination of surface strip baits and baits trolled below the surface behind planers. These produced some big kingfish and a wahoo to round out some firecracker fishing on the 4th!
