Fall is Here and Striper Fishing is Heating Up on Lake Texoma by Steve Barnes (10/03/2019)

Still Catching Big Striper in Early Summer by Steve Barnes (6/20/2019)
Striper fishing on Lake Texoma has been an absolute slaughter this spring and early summer for big fish. Daily limits for striper on Texoma is 10 but only two can be 20 inches or longer and most of the fish we are catching this year are over 20 inches. It’s a good problem to have but in reality we should be harvesting more of the larger fish this year.
Lake Texoma striper fishing is really going strong by Steve Barnes (4/23/2019)
It's spring so using live bait -- shad. Live Shad is hard to find this year but most guides can find some. Catching a few big fish but limited out on fish.
Lake Texoma Striper Fishing has come Alive by Steve Barnes (3/22/2019)
Lake Texoma striper fishing has really come alive this week with the arrival of spring. Big striper are on a feed frenzy getting ready to make their annual spring spawning run up the Washita and Red rivers. As the shallow waters warm fish move up out of the river channel to feed on shad. The fish are on the move so anglers need to be persistent and stay on the move looking for active fish.
March Means by Steve Barnes (2/18/2019)
March is big fish month on Texoma — Big fat prespawn fish will move up out of the deep water to feed before making their annual run up the river. February fishing is ok but I love the springtime so I spend some of my time in February for boat maintenance and preparation for the upcoming season. I can’t believe its Valentine’s day already.
Winter Means BIG Fish on Lake Texoma by Steve Barnes (12/10/2018)
Winter is here on Lake Texoma. Fishing has been good with the recent warm spell but larger fish have been a little scarce. The colder winter temperatures with chances of rain (or even snow) turn the big fish on so fish the Winter season on Texoma.
Fall fishing is in full swing at Lake Texoma and the fishing is great! by Steve Barnes (11/01/2018)
The main lake is pretty stained but the creek arms are clear. The striper don’t seem to mind a little stain but it’s best to look for them in the cleaner water. Watch for the birds. The last few weeks the fish under the working birds have been pretty small but as it gets colder bigger fish will show up in the schools under the birds.
Lake Texoma fishing has been very good this year, limits on every trip! by Steve Barnes (10/11/2018)
Capt Steve txfishingguide.com Lake Texoma fishing has been very good this year, limits on every trip! But believe it or not it’s about to get better. Fall is here and with lows dipping down into the 50’s at night the water temp is dropping and the fish are getting more active.
Lake Texoma striper fishing is still going strong. by Steve Barnes (9/06/2018)
Live bait seems to be the best way to go right now. Small fish are abundant but better fish can be caught if you can find them. Striper move a lot this time of year and don’t surface as much so finding them with sonar is key.
Lake Texoma Striper Fishing is Still VERY Good by Steve Barnes (8/09/2018)
Capt. Steve Barnes txfishingguide.com Striper fishing remains very good on Lake Texoma. We have been fishing live bait in 40 to 60 foot of water and catching limits every trip.
Lake Texoma is in full summer fishing pattern and for me that means trolling. by Steve Barnes (7/18/2018)
Lake Texoma is in full summer fishing pattern and for me that means trolling. You can catch some striper early in the morning before sunrise running close to the bank throwing top water or swim baits but once the sun starts to come up look for them schooling in open water — they won’t stay up long so better get them while it’s hot because once they go down they get a little tougher to track and catch.
Crazy Fishing on Texoma by Steve Barnes (6/28/2018)
Striper are roaming deep water. Sometimes fishing is Great... Sometimes not.
Still Catching Limits on Striper by Steve Barnes (6/11/2018)
txfishingguide.com Fishing on Lake Texoma has been outstanding the past few weeks and continues to be very good. The most consistent action has been on live shad in 40-80 foot water sometimes dropping baits to 70 foot but there is also plenty of fish that can be caught on topwater, swimbaits and slabs.
Lake Texoma - Catching Limits & Some Big Fish by Steve Barnes (5/22/2018)
This is the time of year for less experienced anglers to get in on the action. May and June are prime time for fishing live bait and limits of fish can be expected on almost every trip.
It Catching Time - Bagging Striper Limits Daily by Steve Barnes (5/04/2018)
txfishingguide.com Capt Steve Looks like we have finally moved into the catching season where limits of striper can be expected on almost every trip! Fish have moved up on ledges , humps, and points from 3-40 foot water depths. I’m leaning towards live bait as the preferred method now but you can still catch them in shallow water on swim baits and topwater lures,
Lake Texoma April 20th by Steve Barnes (4/20/2018)
Fishing has been pretty tough with the wind and below average temps but it can’t stay windy and cold forever so we have some great fishing to look forward to. I believe a good number of our larger fish have moved from the lake up into the Red and Washita rivers to spawn, they usually show up back in the lake about the second week of May.

Larger fish are in a pre-spawn pattern and staged up on shallow structure in 10-25 foot. Lots of big striper caught last week and the pattern should hold thru early April. Trolling and casting swimbaits and A-rigs in the usual colors, chartruse and glow.
Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report Feb 28 by Steve Barnes (3/05/2018)
Fishing on Texoma has slowed down this past week but looks like Spring is just about here and fishing will drastically improve in the coming days with the warmer temps. Water temp is 44 but with warmer weather and longer days we should heat up into the 50’s pretty soon. When this happens bait and fish will move up into shallower water on points, humps and flats. http://txfishingguide.com

Lake Texoma Fishing Report :: Nature's Fish Finders Are Here by Brian Prichard (11/01/2013)
Each month on the water brings its own unique energy to experience and appreciate. In November we are getting in the heart of autumn. The changing leaves paint the horizon around the lake with a beautiful array of color for the perfect back drop to display a feeding frenzy of seagulls and loons hitting the water over schooling stripers.
Lake Texome Fishing Report :: Topwater Time is Now by Brian Prichard (10/03/2013)
The time is now upon us. This is the only time of year when you may still catch me going out alone to fish because I know the potential is there to catch monster stripers on topwater and there is nothing better.

Striper Master Lake Texoma Fishing Report 4/27/2012 by Doug Keeter (4/27/2012)
It's been a little over three weeks since my last post. Lake Texoma water elevation is 616.90 and the water temperature is 69-70 degrees. The past two weeks I've fished shallow flats, ditches, humps and deepwater ledges from 10ft to 60ft of water and can tell you that if your using live bait the stripers will find you.
Striper Master Lake Texaon Striper Fishing Report 4/4/2010 by Doug Keeter (4/04/2012)
Lake Texoma elevation is 618.03 and water temperature is 68 degrees. With the mild winter, warmer water temperature and the lake level above normal, I believe that the Lake Texoma striper fishing for 2012 looks to be extremely good. I have mainly fished north of Highport the past couple weeks working river channel ledges from 30-55 feet of water using live bait.
Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 2/9/2012 by Doug Keeter (2/10/2012)
Lake Texoma elevation is 615.86 and water temperature is 52 degrees. Lake Texoma winter fishing continues to produce good sized stripers and an occasional double digit fish. We have also had some pretty tough days in between. Although you have a better chance at landing a trophy striper this time of year, it's not a daily occurrence.
Striper Master Lake Texoma Fishing Report 11/11.2011 by Doug Keeter (11/14/2011)
With the high temperatures and the blue/green algae problem, September was not a very good month for us on Lake Texoma. As we moved into October the fishing really picked up. We started the first Saturday in October with our yearly Great White Hunt Trip. We had 160 anglers,3 6 guides, a catering service for the fish fry and alot of great help. Thanks to everyone who participated, it was a huge success. Our Lake Texoma water temperature is 67 degrees lake elevation is 609.85 (7.33 low).
Striper Master Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report 8/18/2011 by Doug Keeter (8/18/2011)
Lake Texoma elevation is 611.90 over 5 feet low and our water tempter is at 88 degrees. The stripers on Lake Texoma continue to work the surface chasing shad but from what I've seen this past week the size these topwater fish are tending to be smaller. As far as the slab runs they are steadily producing good fish daily. The stripers are running the ledges related to the flats in the 30-40 feet of water.
