No one will ever say that this years sailfish season was a dissappointment. Double digits have been the norm for tournament boats and catches of 4 to 8 sails by other serious anglers have been commonplace.

Concentrations of sails have ben found up and down offshore waters of the Treasure Coast in Dec and January as they continue their southerly migration.

Look for sails in 120 to 250 feet of water. Catches yesterday were concentrated along an edge of rough water where the Gulf Stream banged up against inshore waters creating difficult but rewarding sea conditions.

Congratulations to Capt Glen Cameron on the Floridian for winning the 'daily' on Wed in the Pelican Invitational with 12 fish. This tournament held in Ft Pierce at the Pelican Yacht Club goes through Saturday and is the deciding factor in the Sailfish Classic series Treasure Coast tournaments.
