Rayburn continues to produce heavy stringers as the winners of Saturday's Bass N Bucks had a 5-fish limit of over 28 pounds. All top ten winning teams weighed in over 20 pounds. According to the top finishers, Carolina Rigs, Rat-L-Traps and flipping jigs on bedding bass were some of the most productive patterns.

At mid-week the water temperature was in mid-60s but the cold front will lower that for a few days. The lake level is 158.39 which is basically 6 feet below full pool of 164.4 feet. Other patterns on Big Sam which are catching bass include spinnerbaits, Texas rigs, wacky worms as well as weightless Texas rigs fished over shoreline grass.

We caught a lot of bass last weekend on Rayburn with most in the 2-pound range. For us, our most productive pattern was a Carolina rig with 2 ft leader and green pumpkin lizard in 2 to 6 feet.
