It has been a while since my last report. Swordfishing has started to slow down. Noone has been out in the past few nights. I was out last week, we only fished for three hours before the wind and the waves pushed us back in. We caught 2 pups and went home happy.

Sailfish starting to show up on the reef now. With the past 8 or so days of north wind, and the couple of cold fronts we have had, the sailfish are showing up! This is what we wait all winter for. With the sailfish, the kingfish and wahoo are also starting to show up! Usually it takes a little longer for them to show up, but i dont think that any of us will be complaining.

I fished saturday and we had a decent trip. We caught our bait and headed off to the edge. We set up in 200ft of water where we saw lots of bait scattering. In the first 10 minutes we hooked up with a nice 13lb dolphin. Fishing was slow for about 2 hours after we boated that fish. All of a sudden i saw some bait blow up about 20yrds from my kite baits, and we had a double header of sailfish on. My clients made quick work of the fish, and we tagged and released them perfectly. Just before dark we boated 2 kingfish, and had a few cutoff\'s too.

Tournament season is almost here. I still have a couple of tournaments open this season, but they are starting to book up fast.So give me a call and we can discuss what tourneys are available. The first one of the season the \"sailfish kickoff\" was a great tourney last yr. I am already booked for it and we are hopeing for great fishing like last yr. The Mayors Cup is the next one on the list, i am still open for that one. If your interested give me a call! Until next time!

Tightlines,

Capt Joe McGivern
