Today Mike from Texas joined Justin and I on a 6 hour trip from 11am-5pm, and he had a fishing trip as big as the state he hails from! Mike's goal was to catch a big fish so we went right to shark fishing. One hour later we got the first bite. It was on one of the big 130 Penn Internationals and the line was just screaming off the reel. This was the monster fish Mike was looking for but after 30 minutes of battling the brute he was tired. He wanted a big fish but I'm not sure he wanted one as big as hooked up! He hung in there though, and he brought what turned out to be a huge hammerhead to the boat. Great catch. We then got a second bite on a top bait by a dusky shark.

Mike had succeeded in getting those big fish in his pocket so we went trolling further offshore and got into a huge school of blackfin tunas. We caught the first fish, one about 10lbs, then all of a sudden there where thousands of tunas there! It was quite a site! We could have filled the boat tunas! What an awesome day.

Tight Lines,
