It's the beginning of August and the nasty muggy heat is upon us in full force. Despite the heat the snook bite this summer has been great with fish well into the 40 plus inch range caught.

Another welcomed site are the redfish that have been slowly making their presence known. The last few weeks I have been catching redfish which have been schooling up in certain areas of the flats. We should have a phenominal fall with the redfish this year

Tackle Used: light spinning gear
Method Used: freelining
Water Depth: 1 to 3ft
Water Temperature: bath water!
