Canyon Lake: Water clear; 54-55 degrees; 901.85':

Largemouth are fair in 12'-20' at secondary points and rockpiles along bluffs on smoke-red tubes, Carolina rigged watermelon creature baits w/chartreuse tails and 3/16 oz. brown Curb's hair jigs.

Smallmouth are fair early (best under cloud cover) in 6'-10' working down sloping points using purple Robo-type worms on "giggy" jigheads, smoke JDC grubs, then along breaklines and bluff ledges from 10'-20' deep w/3/16 oz. black Curb's hair jigs and smoke 3" Creme Lures' tubes on ball-type jigheads.

Stripers are improving shallower (again-as weather and water cools down) especially in 'sloppy' weather over deep water vertically jigging Pirk Minnows, white Curb's striper jigs and trolling Gizz 4 crankbaits on downriggers or lead-line.
