From Wilson dam to Wheeler dam fishing by Reed Montgomery (2007-06-22 16:53:13)
[Wilson Lake] From Wilson dam to Wheeler dam is only a little less than 16 miles. Although a very small lake and a very short distance from dam to dam, compared to the 50 plus miles of other Tennessee River impoundment's, this small lake has big rewards.
Lower End Of Pickwick Lake by Reed Montgomery (2007-06-22 16:52:50)
[Pickwick Lake] If you have never fished the lower end of Pickwick Lake, you may be surprised. Most anglers that visit this Tennessee River Impoundment in North Alabama, never venture far from the lakes headwaters. Starting at the lower lake dam there is plenty of cover and bottom irregularities for anglers to target and for bass of all species to relate to.
Alamaba's Most Popular Lakes For Night Fishing by Reed Montgomery (2007-06-22 16:52:23)
[Lake Mitchell] Its one of Alabama's most popular lakes for night fishing. This small impoundment on the lower Coosa River, also shows many reasons not to give up on the bass of daytime either. The lakes headwaters, displays one of the most varied fisheries on the Coosa River. Here are a few choices for targeting these Mitchell Lake bass, during the hot days of summer.
Hot summers - Search for cooler water by Reed Montgomery (2007-06-22 16:51:52)
[Lake Martin] Hot Summer's, mean searching for cool water. Logan Martin is currently showing water temperatures approaching 90 degrees. Finding bass in shallow water during the hot, mid 90 degree heat, is unheard of with most daytime anglers. But they do exist.
Coosa River and Lay Lake Fishing by Reed Montgomery (2007-06-22 16:51:17)
[Lay Lake] It was in the late 60's when I first wet a hook, on Alabama's Lay Lake. Unknown to me at the time, the lake had just been re-impounded in the early 60's, raising the lakes water level another 16 feet.
Seeing the bottom of the lake by Reed Montgomery (2007-06-22 16:50:43)
[Lake Martin] Looking down, you can see 10-20 feet deep to the bottom of the lake, when fishing or navigating the lower end of Lake Martin's very clear water. Deep, clear water and very skittish bass in shallow water, all go together, and often calls for applying deep water tactics, on the lakes lower end.
Hot and getting hotter by Reed Montgomery (2007-06-22 16:50:14)
[Jordan Lake] Its hot and getting hotter. No, I'm not talking about the weather this time. I'm referring to the spotted bass fishing on Jordan Lake. Each year, this lake, now near 75 years old, gets better with age.
Lower Lake Is Good by Reed Montgomery (2007-06-22 16:49:45)
[Guntersville Lake] Anglers that choose to fish Guntersville's lower lake region this summer will find plenty of company. But there is refuge, away from the maddening crowd, if exploring small tributaries is in the game plan. You can catch plenty of the lakes very healthy largemouth bass, in a variety of ways, both on the main lake and in the creeks, with a little patience.
Bankhead Lake - Warrior River Fishing by Reed Montgomery (2007-06-22 16:49:16)
