Wow, I can honestly tell you that just like you guys, I've never experienced anything like this total closure of our country. As you can tell from my reports, my last charter was on March 17th and I've been home locked up ever since. Today was the first day the boat ramps reopened and I have to admit, I was excited to head out and get back to work. With the boat and us sitting around for 6 weeks I decided to take my family fishing and we had a blast with very little boat traffic and great fishing. I wanted to go bonefishing but my fiance wanted fresh fish to eat so we went fishing for dinner. Well, the fishing was solid and while my daughter and step-daughter caught a few fish and then decided to get a tan, Jeanny was hard core and kept fishing. She went through 7 dozen baits and caught plenty more on lures including a nice tasty grouper we had to release. I got home with plenty of fish to clean including mangrove snapper, porgies, yellow jacks and released a ton more. I have to admit, today felt good being back on the boat. Now I just need clients! LOL
