Even though it is now Summer someone needs to tell the Sailfish that news. Still packed up in groups of 3-5 fish they are readily taking baits either live baited or trolled. Fishing from 60-120' of water has found the main concentration of hungry Sails. Once one is hooked up get a pitch bait ready as the chance for a double hook up is definitely there. Unhooked Sails have been swimming with the hooked fish right up to the boat. King Mackerel bite is the best bite we have seen in a long time with a large number of fish in the 30-50 pound range. Live baiting or trolling drone spoons has been a major producer. Depths of 20' to 80' has been the magic number. Dolphin fishing has slowed down however there are still a few really nice fish being caught. Inshore action has been on fire with the Tarpon and either a live mullet, crab or top water has been the best producer. First morning light has also been the best time before water temps heat up and drive the fish into deeper, cooler holes. Trout have also been a first morning light bite, topwater lures are working the best. Snook are still catch and release, however they are also providing a steady bite.
