[Sarasota] Anglers fishing with me on my Action Craft flats skiff the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, caught and released trout, blues and Spanish mackerel on deep grass flats of Sarasota Bay, snook in the ICW near Venice and snook, trout and flounder in Gasparilla Sound and Terra Ceia Bay on CAL jigs with shad tails, DOA Deadly Combos, DOA Shrimp and flies during the past couple of weeks.

[Sarasota] Anglers fishing with me on my Action Craft flats skiff the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, caught and released trout, Spanish mackerel, pompano, flounder, bluefish and a cobia on deep grass flats of Sarasota Bay on flies and CAL jigs with shad tails during the past couple of weeks. With water temperatures around 70 degrees, cobia have been showing up in areas of Sarasota Bay and the coastal gulf.

[Sarasota] I was away from Nov 8-15, hosting a group of fly anglers at Mars Bay Bonefish Lodge in South Andros, Bahamas so I don't have a Sarasota report for that time frame. An angler fishing with me on my Action Craft flats skiff the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, had great action catching and releasing snook at night in the ICW near Venice on flies during the past week.

[Shell Beach] I picked Jim, Clint, and Bucky up at Jim's camp. We then headed over behind Hopedale. Our first stop only produced 15 Trout, so we headed further down below Four Horse and started drifting with live shrimp under a cork. Once we would get on a few I would stick us up and work it till it would slow up, then drift some more.

[Shell Beach] I had the pleasure of having the Carl Tarvin group onboard. Jan and Scott were his guests. It was a little chilly, but the wind was not blowing like it was the day before. We started out drifting a lagoon below Four Horse. I stuck us up when they would catch some Trout and got a good bite going at one point. Fishing along the shorelines we got on a couple good Red bites, with lots of Rat Reds to fish through.

[Shell Beach] It was a typical windy day for the Renshaw group. It seems that the wind is always blowing when they are on the boat. Brian, Terry, Chris, Steven, and Stan had a great time filling the fish box more than full. We spent most of the time drifting lagoons below Four Horse with live shrimp under a cork. They caught Trout while drifting the middle, and we would stick up on points on the windblown side adding Reds, Drum and other creatures to the box.

[Shell Beach] Saturday fun at the Beach. My guests for the day were Pratt and Zach Provosty. Armed with a bait well full of Campo's live shrimp we headed over to the Lake Amadee area. We got on a few good Trout bites, but had lots of throwbacks to weed through. We hopped around making several moves and caught fish at every stop.

[Shell Beach] Nice box of fish for the Jim Walther group Friday. I picked the four of them up from Jim's camp and we headed to the marsh behind Hopedale. Things started off kind of slow. We made a move to a point off the mouth of a bayou. Finally some fish were coming to the boat.

[Shell Beach] Good Monday at the Beach. I had the pleasure of having Stan and Barrett onboard for the day. After a stop by Campo's for a well full of live shrimp we headed into the marsh behind Hopedale. The first couple of stops produced a few Trout and Reds, but our third stop was the one.

[Shell Beach] Fun day at the Beach with the Larry Abbott group. When I picked the four of them from the camp it was fairly calm. We headed out to the Sound and made a few stops covering plenty water with nothing to show, but hardheads and sailcats.

[Shell Beach] Three windy days for the Joe Sealy group at the Beach. Joe brought down a group of 4 for three days of fishing fun. The wind blew pretty hard every day, keeping us in the marsh looking for what ever would bite.
