White Bass Fishing On Road Runners and Rattle Traps by Greg Crafts (2/07/2007)
The fishing is starting to bust wide open. We've been fishing mostly for White Bass in the river and waiting for the main lake to settle down from all the fresh water and cold temperatures. Last week we were catching a lot of Whites in the flooded sloughs on Road Runners and Rattle traps but the river started falling fast and moved them into the river proper.
Cold Water And Strong Winds by Greg Crafts (1/28/2007)
As expected, the last couple three weeks with all the fresh water, rising lake conditions, cold water temperatures and strong winds haveresulted in very difficult fishing conditions across the board except for the Cat-fishermen. The Crappie have scattered from the main lakeriver channel locations. The Blacks have "lockjaw" and the Whites are starting to move into the main river proper beginning their annual“river run”.
Bite Should Be Picking Up With Rising Water by Greg Crafts (1/03/2007)
The rising water has slowed the Crappie fishing down but the lake is clearing fast since no water is being released and once things settle down, the bite should pick up. Prior to the rise, there is no telling how many Crappie were put into ice chests the past two months

Toledo Bend Reservoir Fishing Report by Joe Joslin (9/27/2006)
Like many other anglers and boaters on the south end of The Bend, I am excited and pleased at the work currently being performed on launch site # 7 located on the west side (Texas side) of Toledo just off of highway # 255. This is a major project as the ramp is being extended thirty feet from existing ramp/concrete. In addition to the extension, the cove is also being dredged, enlarged and deepened.
