[Sabine Lake] We are catching some nice trout in the lake underneath the birds. The best bit has been on an outgoing tide. There are also plenty of redfish mixed in with the trout. The best bait has been a bass assassin 4" split tail in opening night with 1/4 oz jig head. The jetties have been hit and miss. The triple tail have showed up and there are plenty to be had.

Red Hot Fishing by
Keith Mixon
(2009-05-29 16:38:19)
[Port Canaveral] In the last few days of snook season, my clients have had many opportunities to catch snook in and around Port Canaveral. Many of these fish have measured 24 to 38 inches in length. When fishing the flats, large "gator" trout can not resist a live pigfish, pinfish, or mullet when fished under a popping cork. Many of these large trout have been caught in three to four feet of water during low light conditions.
