    [Toldeo Bend] The lake is 170.1 ft. msl, high pool is 172 ft msl, both generators are shut down and the lake is holding steady. The north end of the lake is stained to clear. Water temps are running in the mid 60s. High winds the last couple three weeks have caused most of our problems.

    [Melbourne] Bass bite well early and continued with a steady bite throughout the day. The largest bass of the trip was 12.5 lbs. There was also an 8 pounder and lots of bass over 5 lbs.

    [Wheeler Lake] Unseasonably warm weather showed Wheeler Lakes prespawn bass preparing beds in mid march. Mid 70 degrees air temperatures triggered bass to move shallow, much earlier than most spring seasons when these bass are usually just coming out of a winter state of mind.

    [Lake Fork] Many warm and sunny days resulted in a big bass catching spree at Fork and kicked off the spawn in earnest. While numbers were up and down this week, size has been very good most days, including a 10.25 pounder we caught yesterday. In addition, dozens of giant bass have been reported at the local marinas this week, including two 13s and a 15.32!
