[Sarasota] Anglers fishing with me on my Action Craft flats skiff the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, caught and released Spanish mackerel, blues and trout in Sarasota Bay, trout and bluefish in Gasparilla Sound and trout, flounder and redfish in the Terra Ceia Bay area on CAL jigs with shad tails and top water plugs during the past couple of weeks. Some of the best action was with snook at night on flies in the ICW near Venice.

[Pensacola] January has been a pretty good month so far. As most know in North Florida it can get pretty cold up here with temps as low as 15 to 20 degrees some days and as warm as 72 degrees other days.

[Tampa] It's a great time of the year to fish the negative tides of the coming winter months. The low tides force the fish into the low areas making them easier to find. So if you're the adventurous type break out the wader and hit the flats.

[Shell Beach] Fun Friday with Jim Walther, Rich Mauti, and Bucky Meredith. I picked the guys up at Jim's camp and we hit the marsh near Four Horse. We made one stop today and never moved till the limits were full and box stuffed. The guys caught some pretty Trout and limits of big Reds while having to throw several big ones back.

[Shell Beach] The Will Andress crew hit the Beach Saturday. I had a fun day fishing with three generations of them all with the same name. It was a pretty day with cool temps, no clouds, and the gail force winds of the day before has settled down. We made one stop a pond I like to fish near Four Horse and put together a great box of fish.
