Steelhead fishing was a little tougher this weekend. After doing well all week we struggled some on the weekend. The brown trout were keeping us busy but the steelheads were a bit elusive.

The fishing pressure continues to be high as everyone is getting cabin fever. Mornings have been cold, but it hasn’t stop anglers from hitting the water. The upper section of the river between Altmar and Pineville is producing the most action.

Salmon Season 2008- Weekend #1 under the belt! The fishing pressure on the salmon river increased over the weekend but things remained the same with only a small amount of fresh fish moving through the lower end of the river.
