[Gloucester] Bass in the harbor chasing the bait. Lots of fun catching schoolies. The harbor around the docks has been a blast with lots of action for samll bass,Just look for the working gulls and the bunches of bait and just start casting.I catch a dozen or more in just a hour and had lots of fun.Well just about time to haul my boat and head for Florida for the winter.

Caddo Lake Bass Are Beginning To Get Agressive by

[Shreveport] Most of the bass have come out of the grass and pad mix using a V&M Pork Shad(super fluke) in colors of watermelon/red and junebug fishing them over and through the hydrilla and pads on the creek and slough edges. Texas rigged watermelon candy/chartreuse tail High Tails(brushhog) pitched along the edges of the creeks is working well. A white Bow Bend Buzzbait fished over the pads has caught some real decent sized bass also.

[Lake Palestine] Friday was warm and the bite was better with about 50 Bass comming to the boat and Saturday I awoke with 49-50 degrees and the bite was fair with about 15 - 20 Bass. Most Bassd were smaller with the biggest going about 4 lbs.

[Lake Allatoona] I haven't had much chance to get out much this week but I did venture out for 4 hrs this afternoon. I launched at 1pm and fished till 5pmish. Fishing wasn't bad for mid day. I managed 12 fish with 8 being keeper sized and several in the 2lb range on senko's. I think the senko bite and topwater should be OUTSTANDING in the morning hours.

[Lake Fork] Top water and wacky worm fishing the grass. Well, the weather has been back to warm and hot. The fishing has been the same. The only problem is it is hot one day and the next day the fish want bite. I had one trip this week and we struggled on a half a day trip and then the next day they were all over the place.

[Weiss Lake] Bass fishing is good Most Large Mouth have moved shallow following the shad with the falling water temperature. Some fish are still deep in the main lake. I have been seeing some spotted bass surface action early in the morning on the old Coosa river channel near Yellow Creek A shallow running crank bait like the new Gizz 4 crank bait from Smack Tackle www.smacktackle.com is working awesome right now !

[Cape Cod] Good fishing on top of Billingsgate Shoals but most of the fish have moved out. The main body of fish were in the deep water on the north edge in Cape Cod Bay.

The lake is almost 5 feet low. The low water has not hurt the fishing but has made the lake dangerous to run. The boat lanes are the best areas to run your boat. The short cuts can be very dangerous.

[Birmingham] I've had lots of phone calls and e-mails this year pertaining to info needed for Demopolis Lake. Many anglers have qualified for an October Bassmasters Tournament scheduled to be held here out of the City of Demopolis this Fall season. Many of these professional bass anglers have never fished Demopolis Lake (now over 52 years since impoundment) and some will have no trouble figuring them out when their tournament takes place.

[Lake Allatoona] The fishing right now is STRONG!! Very good numbers bite on keeper fish using a blue pearl senko. This morning I had a fairly EASY 30 fish day before the wind picked up with the front. This bite comes every year like clockwork which is about 2-3 weeks after a major shad spawn which I believe we might have just had another wave of shad from the really small fry I saw today.

[Toldeo Bend] Like many other anglers and boaters on the south end of The Bend, I am excited and pleased at the work currently being performed on launch site # 7 located on the west side (Texas side) of Toledo just off of highway # 255. This is a major project as the ramp is being extended thirty feet from existing ramp/concrete. In addition to the extension, the cove is also being dredged, enlarged and deepened.

[Cape Cod] The season is almost over. Most of the boats will come out just after the Columbus Day weekend. There will still be fish in the bay, just not many people looking to go and try and catch them. So, even the fish will no it's time to head to warmer water. For now they are here and we're doing a good job of finding them and catching them.

[Bull Shoals Lake] With upper 80's during the day and low 60's at night, how can anyone complain about the weather. We even had some rain over the weekend, between 1 to 2 inches. Lake level this week is at 648.81, 5 1/2 feet below normal pool.

[Millwood Lake] Best feeding periods still remain early and late in the day, but are generally improving during the slower periods. Juvenile and yearling Black Bass continue randomly schooling, and are chasing shad and baitfish in Little River along the edges of lily pads, and in the oxbows all along Little River. Take a kid fishing!

[Lake Allatoona] The senko bite is getting stronger and stronger every week. Most of the fish are small keepers with a few decent fish in the mix. I'm pretty much beating them in the head with the senko to make it work. It's really the best thing I have found for numbers unless you like draggin wurms (not my cup of tea no thanks).

[Toldeo Bend] The lake is 161.9 ft msl (record low); high pool is 172 ft msl. The lake is two feet lower compared to this time last year. This equates to a 40% reduction in total water volume. The north end of the lake is stained and clearing as you go south.

[New York Bight] The fall run of striped bass got an early shot in the arm as fish up to 36" turned on in Jamaica Bay in repsonse to the annual run of mullet. Albies have been showing but are still playing very hard to get. Blues up to 10 pounds are still making a good showing.

[Lake Allatoona] Fishing is very tough for the big fish right now since the cooler weather and rain this week. Prior to the cooler weather and rain we had a decent bite on the swimbait.. Once we get some stabilization in the weather the fish will be much more predictable.
