[Shell Beach,LA] One of these days the weather will settle down. When it does the Trout will be out there waiting for you. Till then the Reds in the marsh have been a lot of fun.

[Hopedale,LA] A run down from the last week or so. I have been so busy i have not had time to sit down and post. But the fishing is great and will only get better with live shrimp available this week

[Shell Beach,LA] The guys ended up putting 21 Reds, 5 Drum, 7 Sheepshead, 10 Trout and 1 Flounder on ice. It was a fun day of fishing with a great group of guys.

[Shell Beach,LA] Working some ponds with dead shrimp under a cork the guys put together a nice box of Reds, Drum, and Trout. It was a fun day of fishing in some not so great conditions.

[Shell Beach,LA] The second fish hooked and landed was a 27” 7.5 pound pig of a Trout by Gary. It was the biggest Trout any of us had seen alive in a boat and will soon be on his wall.

[Toledo Bend,LA] Summer patterns are becoming the norm and we are catching morre and more bass on main points and ridges. However, we do start shallow on grass points with top water baits and weightless soft plastics. See full report below.

[Delacroix,LA] Windy day out of Delacroix. Too rough for outside waters so we stayed in to catch plenty of fish.

[Shell Beach,LA] We made several moves picking up fish at each and the guys managed to put together a nice box of fish in some horrible conditions. Ended up with 13 Reds, 12 Trout, 6 Drum, 3 Flounder, and one heck of a good time.

[Shell Beach,LA] With Bayou Chubs under a cork the action was fast and the Trout very nice. The guys had a great time and went back to Houston loaded down with fillets.

[Shell Beach,LA] With 70 Trout, 1 Flounder, and 1 Drum in the box we called it day. Once the fish were cleaned the guys headed home with lots of fillets for a planed big fish fry that evening.

[Venice,LA] The offshore fishing has been very good. The red snapper bite is better than I have seen in a long time. The weather and all the fishing variables are starting to come together for what looks likes will make a great season.

[Venice,LA] The past few days were very calm and perfect for offshore fishing. But, as most people know, fishing tuna in calm water can prove difficult sometimes. The snapper limits are getting filled easily although it goes to two per man in one day.

[Venice,LA] The tuna bite remains excellent in the canyon. Opening day of snapper season was no disappointment. This is ironic seeing that the limit is about to go down to two a person. Opening day couldn't have been a bigger nightmare for NMFS.
