Fishing during the month of Novemeber has been pretty good. Most of the best fishing has ocurred right after the passing of cold fronts. The pattern should continue for the next few months.

Tropical storm Noel and the first good cold front of the season have combined to finally give us some outstanding fishing in South Florida. While the Marine Forecast was saying seas of 8 - 10 feet with small craft warnings over this past weekend, the truth of the matter was that in the green water it was 2 feet with an occasional 3 footer. When you got out to the blue water, it was about 2 foot.

Our next trip was with Don and Sandy. The mullet run was in full gear and we took full advantage of it. We ran the beach searching for mullet and their traveling companions. We found a big school of bluefish and caught them on 4 to 8 pound tackle and lures for a couple hours.

We opened snook season with a bunch of personal friends. Matt, April and young Tyler Tambor were joined by Capt Rick Morel for some late afternoon fun. They had a ball catching 9 snook and releasing 7 of these linesides. Their top fish were in the 20 pound class.

Despite the very hot weather, the fishing has been very good for a variety of species. Some of them are probably not the glamour fish that anglers are looking for, however, they bend a rod, pull line, and can be a challenge to get boatside for a release.
