[Pulaski] We made it through another Columbus Day weekend. With water in all the area streams and the river at a level that makes it difficult to see the fish, it really was not that crowded, considering it was the biggest weekend of the year.

[Vancouver Island] 2009 is certainly one of the best years for fishing salmon in a long time. The waters along the beaches or surf line of Vancouver Islands West Coast and into Barkley Sound has been loaded with Coho, Chinook and Pink salmon. Fishing continues to be very good.

[Pulaski] The past week has been up and down for both lake and river anglers. The lake has plenty of fish but they continue to play cat & mouse. They move around a lot and bite great one day and refuse to bite the next.

[Ucluelet] Great fishing season in Ucluelet; summer of large and plentiful salmon! Sometimes couldn't hardly get a line down without a bite! Halibut was not as good as previous, but stil brought in limit almost daily. Great weather, got offshore almost every day.

[Vancouver Island] This year was by far the best fishing we have ever seen. Every group that came with us limited out on their Chinooks and halibut. Coho, Lingcod and Yelloweye fishing was unbelievable as well!
