[Lake Fork,TX] Fishing patterns are starting to change at Lake Fork, as a couple good rains and cooler temps have some fish just starting on fall patterns. September is always a popular month on Fork, as the fall tournament season really cranks up. It's perfect timing for tournaments too, because the cooling water turns on the fishing in both the shallows and out deep.

[Lower Luguna Madre,TX] As always, unless you live in the deluged Mid-west, you hear residents of rainy conditions say, “Man, we needed the rain.” OK Ma nature you gave us the rain, no please go away. It has rained for the last four days and my new summer tan is fading away to mid-school year pastiness. “Why, why oh god of sun have you forsaken me?” All kidding aside, the rain is good for the bays and the cool temperatures that have accompanied it are a mid-summer Valley relief.

[Lake Fork,TX] Bass have settled into their normal summertime patterns on Lake Fork and the fishing is pretty consistent. Grassy points produced some nice bass early and late, while I'm spending most of my days fishing deep structure for schools of big fish. Once we've found a school with our graph, it has been pretty easy to catch at least a few of these fish most days.
