[Miramichi River] May 27th 2008 On the South West Miramichi River the past week we have seen a very good change in water conditions. With the water temperature at 57F and the river is very clear. The winds are out of the SW today and the barometric pressure is dropping.

[Shell Beach] We found some Trout at each stop, but never could get on a good bite going. There were lots of trash fish around mixed with the Trout. They put together a good box of fish and had a great time in the blazing sun. Total for the day was 35 Trout, 3 Reds, and 12 Sheepshead.

[Shell Beach] By the time our limits were filled I had to stand on the fish box to close the lid. It was a pretty day and a fun time fishing with Drew again. Total for the day was 75 Trout (2-4 pounds), 8 Drum, 1 Red, 12 Sheepshead, and 2 Flounder.

[Lake Ontario] Steelhead, Coho and King bite are hot right now and should hold up for a while. Some of the nicest Spring Steelhead I've seen (World Class)upwards of 12lbs.

[Homosassa] Peak Tarpon season is May and June. Redfish are schooling on the outer islands and points. Trout are being caught in depths of 4' to 8' of water. Most pelagics have moved onto north Florida.

[Sarasota] Anglers fishing with me on the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, had good action during the past couple of weeks with reds, snook and trout on the flats of Sarasota Bay. Due to a persistent west wind, tarpon fishing got off to a slow start.

[Shell Beach] The fish box was cram packed with fish and we had a long rough boat ride into the wind ahead so we called it a day and left them biting. The guys had a great time and went home with a cooler full of fillets. Total take home for the day was 50 Trout (2-4 pounds), 17 Heads, 4 Reds, and 2 Drum.

[Miramichi River] For G.R.Colford & Sons Limited on the Main South West Miramichi River on the Eastern shore of NB, Canada. The barometric pressure was still dropping this evening, with over cast sky's on the Miramichi River. The temperature was a whopping 25 C on the river. And the water temperature was 54 F and very clear conditions. It is also getting down to a good level.
