[Lake Ontario] They Are Here!!!!!!!! Salmon fishing on many parts of the lake continues to be outstanding. Anglers in the Oswego, Mexico and Pulaski area have been catching salmon from 200 ft. of water inshore to 60 ft.

[Indian River] We here at Smokin Em Charters know this is hard to beleive but the Flats fishing will only get better as soon as the Mullet run begins. The action has been nothing short of phenominal and we look forward to the Fall season.

[Southwest Montana] I traveled to Crane Meadow Lodge in Twin Bridges, MT this week for our annual fly fishing trip there. Nick Reding, Bob Harness, Bob Reynolds, Jim Ewoldt and Dick Callaway, all from St. Louis, MO and Bob Maddocks, from NM, all met up with Bill King and me, from Sarasota, in Bozeman on Saturday morning. After gathering our gear and an hour and a half drive to the lodge, we settled in for 5 days of fishing.

[Sarasota] Anglers fishing with me on the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, caught and released tarpon, snook, trout, bluefish and ladyfish on jigs and flies during the past several days. Tarpon have moved into Sarasota Bay and Gasparilla Sound. The best action was with snook before dawn and a variety of fish on deep grass flats.

[Shell Beach] We left them biting and easily could have finish out my limit too, but we had plenty and the heat was coming on so to the house we went. Total catch for the day was 113 Trout, 4 Reds and 1 Sheepshead. The guys had a great time and will be back soon.

[Pine Island Sound] What was to be a four day work week, rare for August, wound up being a two day week. Monday, I attended what was the most beautiful funeral service celebrating the life of Capt. Sean Middleton's mother, Lynda. There were a ton of folks there, including lots of fishermen and fishing guides. Lynda was a water baby, and finally succumbed to a long, six year battle with cancer.

[Shell Beach] Total for day one was 100 Trout, 1 Red (many others released), 3 Spanish, and 8 Sheepshead. Total for day 2 was 75 Trout, 4 Reds, 4 Sheepshead, and 4 Spanish. It was two fun filled days on the water with some great guys.

[Sarasota] Sport fishermen go fishing for the fun of fishing and a nice day on the water. We always hope for the big-one but never know when it will come. Fishing in Florida is enjoyed year round and only bad weather stops us from going. One day you could fill a cooler and the next day we may catch nothing, but every day on the water is a winner for most fishermen. Like any other leisure sport, you'll go back to play, win or lose. Your success at fishing is measured by a lifetime of trips.
