    [Hopedale] Charlie and his regular crew back for some more action. These guys are seasoned vets and all that is needed is to get them near the Trout and they can fill the box. Well I got them in the fish and the rest was history, they we knocking them out steady all morning.

    [Pine Island Sound] Fishing was about as hard as it gets this week. For me, at least! The red tide lingered, the fresh water continues to come down the river, and I actually heard the media interviewing some business owners on Fort Myers Beach this week who said that this had been the slowest summer in memory.

    [Titusville] Water levels are dropping but the redfish, trout, and tarpon action is improving in the Lagoons. John put a fish of about 70 pounds in the air on a rootbeer DOA TerorEyz and another struck a live bait we were drifting behind the boat while we cast lures.

    [Fort Pierce] Offshore fishing is still slow but seems to be getting better. had reports of dolphin in the 8 to 12 pound range and they we scattered from 100 to 300 feet of water. A few wahoo came into the docks at the Dockside Inn and Resort and they were caught in water from 300 to 400 feet. Most of the wahoo were in the 20 pound range.

    [Port Canaveral] Yes, the season of the mullet is upon us as schools of silver mullet and other baitfish begin their migration south for the winter. Everywhere you look, schools of bait are pushing up, and hungry predators are sending showers of baitfish skipping across the surface of the Lagoon.

    [Sebastian] The fishing the past few weeks has been hit or miss. Recent rains have muddied the waters around Sebastian and water levels remain normal to a bit on the high side. Early morning water temps are running in the low 80s. More bait is showing up and there seems to be bait everywhere at the moment.

    [Sarasota] Anglers fishing with me from August 28th through Sept. 10th had good action with a variety of fish. Fly and spin anglers caught and released reds, snook and trout and jumped several tarpon in Sarasota Bay and Charlotte Harbor. I also fished the Keys and caught several bonefish.

    [Sheboygan] Fished this morning in 130 to 170 feet of water north of the harbor with a group that has been coming to Sheboygan to fish for the past 10 years. Caught 20 fish and lost a bunch more. All chinook salmon and one lake trout.

    [Sarasota] Anglers fishing with me on the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, caught a variety of fish in Sarasota Bay and Charlotte Harbor during the past couple of weeks. Anglers fishing with fly and spinning tackle caught and released snook, reds, trout, bluefish, Spanish mackerel, jacks, ladyfish and jumped a tarpon on CAL jigs, DOA lures and flies.

This has been a little bit of a challenge on some days when we have had a number of boats try to work into the areas we have been fishing with their trolling motor or motor up on a flat.
